Philip Johnson and John Burgee’s 1984 AT&T Building (formerly the Sony Tower and now 550 Madison Ave) is built of 400,000 SF of Stony Creek Granite. The building became a New York City landmark in 2018. Now international firm Snohetta is re-interpreting 550 Madison for today’s lifestyle. Classic Stony Creek Granite is called for to match the existing and to continue the legacy of this iconic architecture.
