Stony Creek Granite is the stone used for historic projects such as the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty designed by Richard Morris Hunt — and so it was natural that FXCollaborative chose our stone for its design for of the new Statue of Liberty Museum. We continue the tradition of McKims Mead & White’s design using Stony Creek Granite for the Columbia University campus with the new North West Corner building designed by Rafael Maneo Valles Arquitecto, and we’re working with Columbia and Hoffman Architects on other restoration projects. Stony Creek Granite is in historic street pavers throughout New York City and we continue supplying our granite today for new plazas and open spaces like Federal Plaza designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, and The Battery designed by Quennell Rothschild & Partners. Our history, our continuity, and our future is about working together in collaboration with our partners in architecture, landscape architecture, and design.
