Philip Johnson and John Burgee’s 1984 AT&T Building (formerly the Sony Tower and now 550 Madison Ave) is built of 400,000 SF of Stony Creek Granite. The building became a New York City landmark in 2018. Now international firm Snohetta is re-interpreting 550 Madison for today’s lifestyle. Classic Stony Creek Granite is called for to match the existing and to continue the legacy of this iconic architecture.

Stony Creek Granite was originally used on buildings designed by Pelli Clark Pelli for the Cleveland Clinic campus establishing an architectural stone palette for the campus. Stony Creek Granite cladding on the new Taussig Building matches this existing Stony Creek Granite to continue the legacy.

Columbia University

We have supplied our Stony Creek Granite to the Columbia University campus for over a century. The campus was designed along Beaux Arts  planning principles by the architects McKim , Mead & White. Today we continue the legacy by continuing to work collaboratively with Columbia to match the existing historic granite with the same Stony Creek Granite for new projects and restoration.
